DexterWire is essentially a Gnutella client which has forked off of the code which powered the now defunct LimeWire client.
The program has many similarities to the original LimeWire content and to be quite frank, not much has changed. It includes a familiar user interface which maintains elements that most programs in this category have.
DexterWire concentrates on music sharing, but also has the ability to fetch movies or other large files which may be available on the Gnutella network, but beware: The issue of viruses and malware is still an issue on the Gnutella network, therefore caution is urged when using this client to download things.
Just like LimeWire, DexterWire allows users to download files simultaneously from multiple sources and the search engine which allows you to search the Gnutella network is similar to that of LimeWire.
In short, it's (currently) a virus-free Gnutella client which picks up where LimeWire left off.
